My Walk Through Nature

I continued my walk down Washington Street on this bitter September morning.  I noticed the sun was not out today, instead it was drowned out by a sheet of gray clouds that recently released small rain drops on the city last night.  The sound of chirping birds and green leaves rustling in the cold wind urged me to keep going on my journey.  I walked across the silent street of Walnut and continued down the next block.  As I soon passed by a school where a crowd of children played outside having fun.  When I passed the school I made it to a large park where nature revealed itself.  Geese chattered to one another, smaller animals ran across the park running up the large trees that populated much of the area, I heard the sound of large fountains splashing quietly in a large lake that curved around the park in a enormous half circle.  I saw the occasional presence of women exercising running down the small street or power walking with weights in their hands pumping them up once in awhile breathing heavily while they did it.  I just slowly walked down the path next to the lake that was covered in soggy leaves, mud puddles, or small duck droppings.  I circled around the pond slowly, soaking in the sound of nature at its best and once in awhile felt perfect silence like all of nature halted and meditated.  The silence was peaceful and awkward at the same time.  When I was done with my walked I returned to my shelter in which I relaxed enjoying what nature had to offer.
